I have a "get dope" card, issued by the State of Oregon, and an unlimited refill 'script. When you have chemo in Oregon, they feel sorry for you, so they issue you the drugs like they issue those disability hangers - they're good for 10 friggin' years. I used it a few times, but my oldest boy can get mo bettah stuff.

Is it bad that I’m getting an enormous kick out of the Drugs unit?

No. The whole damn drug policy thing is just a load of crap. A decade ago I found out that the opiate addition rate of the population (when it was legal) in the 1920's was about what it is today. And that the biggest cause of addition is poverty, not idiotic "gateway" drugs like "Demon Marijuana."

That marijuana is illegal, in part, because the Mormon Church got tired of the Missionaries bringing pot back from Mexico (it wasn't prohibited like alcohol and some other things) and they pressured Utah to make it illegal. And, of course Hearst was really against it and demonized it in the papers because he despised Mexicans.

Then we have the psychological brainwashing of DARE. Doesn't work, but does destroy families as children are taught to rat-out their parents. (As if ending up as uncared-for pawns of the social services industry is going to solve the problem.)

And prisons that are fuller than Russia and China combined because of the idiotic "War on Drugs" that's gone nowhere. I don't do drugs (or even drink (well not more than a couple of drinks a year)) because I don't find it interesting to spend all my money to get high, followed by getting sick and then having my problems compounded by feeling like crap, a reduction in my resources and (possible) incarceration and/or job loss.

I could go on, but I'd just rant. Actually, I'm ranting now. But I could rant for hours.

I currently have 14 goats, 9 does, three whethers being raised for meat, and two breeding bucks. Because of a breeding fiasco, I only have three does "in milk" - that's three gallons a day. Yes, I make cheese, mostly soft types. When I sell milk, I pasteurize it. I don't need some idiot getting sick and blaming my milk. I have 25 sheep, breeding ewes, a mix of wool, meat, and crosses, a bunch of lambs, most of which will go in the freezer, and one big suffolk ram.

Is it bad that I'm getting an enormous kick out of the Drugs unit? "You are ____ when you use drugs. 1) weak 2) silly 3) strong. There are organizations where you can get 1) money 2) help 3) drugs." (Aren't all three of those true?)

And I think we need to have a family cheese-fest in honor of National Dairy Month. Mmmmm, Dubliner. Mmmmm, Gorgonzola dolce.

Thanks for the great resources!
