First Photo

Of my grandchild. 7 weeks.

Seriously? It looks like a Calvin sticker, like the ones in the back of car windows. Back in the olden days, we didn’t get an ultrasound until way later, like “do you want to know what sex it is?”.

I love you, grandbaby, even if you do look like a seamonkey.

‘LIKE’

It seems early to me too, was there a reason they did it?

Love it! Gorgeous! Its amazing how clear the pics are these days. My sister in law is due in early Feb and at her last ultrasound we saw the baby in 3D.

Congratulations, hope the pregnancy is smooth and easy. hugs xoxoxox

Awesome, new baby! Be careful with that ultrasound pic, the paper is photosensitive and if you leave it out it will disappear. You can xerox off a copy though and that one will last. Congrats!

My early ultrasounds all looked like jellybeans. This one really does look like a Calvin sticker. lol Cute, though.

Will you be Gram, Granny, Nanna, or do you have a preference? My little ones call me Nanna Bunny (because I have bunnies and to differentiate from the other Nanna) and Hubby is Pappa Squirrel (because he showed them some baby squirrels, I think). Or maybe ’cause he’s fuzzy and likes nuts? lol

Country Wife’s comment reminded me of my oldest brother and his in laws who had picked out very particular grandparent names that they were to be called. I don’t remember the names, but they ended up being referred to as Honey and Jack because that’s what they called each other.

In my family, both my mother’s and father’s, the oldest grandchild named the grandparents, I don’t think they picked the names we all called them. My father’s mother’s name was Beulah, and we kids called her Boo Boo. We called my mother’s mom Noonie. Both grandfathers were just grandpa. I have no idea what I’ll be called. Do you think it would be out of line to ask the baby to just call me Doc?

As long as you don’t mind hearing, “What’s up, Doc?” a zillion times when they discover Bugs Bunny. ;)

How about Gramma Doc? Or this child will call you whatever suits. My Mom is Bamma for her grandkids and we don’t know yet for her greatgrands. There’s only one of them and she’s not saying quite yet.

Congrats on the grandbaby, you are going to love having a little wee one in your arms again. You have so much to share with the littlie, sheep and dogs and cats and lions and bears and books!

I hate to say it but, “I know, right?” on the ultrasounds. Way early. BUT have you seen those 3D ultrasounds?? THey are Totally freaky…as in: you can absolutely TELL who the child looks like with the 3D ones, say nothing of the sex. All the excitement/anticipation/not knowing is totally taken away.

I sound like an old person.

Anyway, Grams, congrats!
